My son has loved building sets since he was a toddler stacking wooden blocks and now that he’s seven years old, he has traded large, simple projects for smaller, more complicated construction toys. Last Christmas he received a KRE-O Transformers set that was one of his favourite construction toys for months afterwards. And when I heard about the new KRE-O CityVille Invasion sets, I knew in an instant that they would be a hit with Zackary. That’s why I was thrilled to be chosen as a KRE-O CityVille Invasion ambassador and given samples of the new line to build with my oldest son.
KRE-O CityVille Invasion provides the ultimate good vs. evil experience. With the destructive Dr. Mayhem at the helm, villains are swarming the city determined to gain control of the Sonic Power Generators. But luckily for the citizens of CityVille, the Special Ops Squad (S.O.S.) has been called in to save the day! The KRE-O CityVille Invasion sets all feature a combination of heroes and villains in situations that will keep children involved in hours of imaginative play after the construction is done.
The KRE-O CityVille Invasion sets also have all kinds of fun features that any young builder will love. Sonic Motion was one of the features that Zackary was most excited to test. We experienced it first with the Skyscraper Mayhem set. Once the construction of the vehicles and skyscraper was complete, Zackary was able to use the Sonic Motion base not just to add sound to his games, but also to trigger movement in various parts of the set! I especially loved the revolving helicopter blades on the KRE-O CityVille helicopter.
The other thing that I loved about these sets is that they left the plotline up to my son once the constructions were complete. Zackary is in a “bad guy” phase right now and so he often decided to take the side of the villains as he acted as the nefarious Dr. Mayhem and directed his team of evildoers. But I know from experience that over time, my son will create new stories in which he swoops in to save the day as the heroic leader of the S.O.S. Whether he’s putting the sets together or playing with the finished creations, he stays entertained for hours with KRE-O CityVille Invasion!
If you’d love to experience the new KRE-O CityVille Invasion sets for yourself, you’re in luck! Hasbro is very generously offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader their very own KRE-O CityVille Invasion Skyscraper Mayhem set, a $60 value! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about whether your child would rather cheer for the heroic Vance Valor of the S.O.S. or the evil Dr. Mayhem!
But it gets better! KRE-O is a proud PTPA award winner and right now you can spot the PTPA seal on a brand new KRE-O CityVille Invasion commercial airing on Teletoon. When you spot the seal, just post on Twitter, Facebook or your favourite social network using the hashtag #spottheseal for five bonus entries into the giveaway or snap a photo and share it online with the hashtag for ten bonus entries!
The KRE-O CityVille Invasion sets are fun for everyone in our household so far, and we’re just getting started with them. I can’t wait to fully test out all the different features that the sets have to offer in the coming weeks, but having seen my son’s excitement over the line even in the few days we’ve had them, I have no doubt that the KRE-O CityVille Invasion sets will be a hit in our house for quite some time to come. Check out this innovative new construction toy collection and let your child build the ultimate battle between heroes and villains!
