The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is easily one of my boys’ favourite new shows and in all honesty, I love it almost as much as they do. Nickelodeon’s hit series brings back so many memories of my own childhood, but the Turtles are even more talented, energetic and fun now. And for kids that can’t get enough Turtle Power, Nickelodeon and Paramount have released a new DVD of the series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Ultimate Showdown! Here’s a brief synopsis:
It’s nonstop ninja action as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles face off against new enemies and old, including the Rat King, Cockroach Terminator, Baxter Stockman and more! All this, leading to the ultimate showdown against the Kraang and the Shredder himself!
My boys were thrilled when this package arrived and when they learned that the new DVD features twelve episodes on two discs, they were even more excited. They spent a comfortable afternoon watching the DVD and enjoying the new episodes as Leonard, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello battled enemies old and new. The DVD was a favourite for weeks after and I frequently heard Zackary and Benjamin reciting lines from the episodes in their games, a sure-fire way of knowing when my boys really like something!
