There are so many different cartoons that focus on basic learning skills for young children, but not as many that teach important life lessons in a fun way. VeggieTales is always a top pick in our household because my boys love the fun and silly plotlines and music, while I love the important lessons the shows teach. Now, just in time for Christmas, kids can enjoy a brand new VeggieTales DVD…Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas! Here’s a brief synopsis:
Bob and Larry are going all out to make it the best Christmas ever at the Spring Valley Mall. With music, decorations and a light show like no other, it’s an all-out spectacle to outshine the competition! But a little girl with a big heart changes everything when she shows them what Christmas is really about. Featuring Si Robertson from Duck Commander as Silas the Janitor, the new holiday story blends great fun and entertainment while telling a tale of the true meaning of Christmas as only VeggieTales can.
The lesson in this DVD is such an important one. The rush and bustle of the Christmas season can be overwhelming at times and leave us forgetting the true spirit of the season. But it’s so important to step back from the stress and excitement during the holidays and embrace the idea of helping others and spreading peace.
My boys loved the story of Larry’s quest to embrace the true meaning of Christmas and as usual, the music in the movie was a big highlight for them. VeggieTales always does such a fabulous job of delivering a message in a way that’s enjoyable for children, and this movie is no exception.
To help you spread the spirit of Christmas, Big Idea Entertainment is very generously offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader their very own copy of VeggieTales: Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas. To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about how you give back during the holidays.
This DVD is a great way to help children understand that there’s more to Christmas than presents and a great reminder for adults too! Curl up with your kids and enjoy following along with Bob and Larry’s adventures for some fun and meaningful holiday entertainment this year!
