While my boys and I are not gluten-free, I do try to minimize the wheat in our diet a bit just to ensure that we’re getting a good balance of foods.
But a gluten-free lifestyle is something that’s much more than just a fad for many Canadians. In fact, my little niece couldn’t eat wheat for years because it aggravated her eczema, so I always made sure to keep some gluten-free treats in the house.
Now, Sobeys is making life easier than ever for those that are living gluten-free to indulge in the foods they love with a fabulous new line of Compliments Gluten-Free products!
From cake mixes and flour to ready-made muffins, this line is certified gluten-free by the Canadian Celiac Association endorsed Gluten-Free Certification Program and taste completely delicious! I received an assortment of products to try and I couldn’t wait to dig in.
One of the things I love most about this line from Sobeys is that it includes ready-made products.
My boys and I devoured a package of Compliments Gluten-Free Mini Chocolate Brownies in one sitting; they were moist, tender and so delicious! We also received a package of Moist Quinoa Muffins that made a great gluten-free breakfast or snack.
The Sobeys Compliments Gluten-Free line also includes a variety of cake, cookie, muffin and pancake mixes perfect for whipping up a quick gluten-free treat.
I decided to use the chocolate cake mix to make a gluten-free version of one of my very favourite indulgences: cake mix cookies!
These cookies are moist and tender, but so quick to make. Best of all, they’re easy to customize since you can use any flavour of cake mix to make them! I loved how easy it was to make a gluten-free treat with these mixes.
Looking for other great desserts to make with your favorite gluten-free cake mix? These cake mix donuts have just four ingredients and are so much fun to decorate!
Not on a gluten-free diet? These cookies work just as well with regular cake mix, too! You’ll love how quick and easy it is to whip up cookies in all your favourite cake mix flavours.
Whether you’re going gluten-free because you think it’s healthier or because you have sensitivities to gluten, it’s a whole lot easier to do with tasty products like these. Give them a try and see what you think of these new gluten-free options from Sobeys!

I would like to win this to give to the local food bank. I heard they have a challenge when it comes to finding gluten free products for donations.
I have two friends who are gluten free so it’d be nice to bake for them.
Id donate it to food bank. I’m sure there are many parents with kids who have food allergies and don’t find much gluten free stuff at the food bank.
I’d love to make these for my mom who is gluten-free
I would love to win because, although I don’t have any gluten sensitivities that I’m aware of, I’ve heard a gluten-free diet can help most people.
I would love to try some gluten free products
My mom has recently been diagnosed with celiac disease and I would love to give these to her so she knows the variety of products out there
I’d love to win the Sobeys Compliments Gluten-Free prize pack because my Mom is sensitive to gluten and Sobey’s products are great, so I know these will be too!
Great article..does anyone know the correct way to find of if you truly are allergic to Gluten? I know the doctor..but an easy way?
I donate to a particular foodbank and there is always a need for specialty items.
