I absolutely love discovering new bath and beauty products and when those products are made with natural ingredients, that’s even better. I have a few different hair care lines that I love but with my long hair, I never miss a chance to try new shampoo and conditioner just in case I discover something I like better than my current brands. Recently, Weleda challenged me to do just that by taking the #WeledaHairDare and trading my current hair care products for the Weleda Oat Replenishing hair care collection containing organic oat extract for thirty days to see how they compared.
The line is certified by NATRUE, uses organic and natural ingredients and includes Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner as well as Oat Replenishing Treatment to strengthen and repair dry and damaged hair. I also received Rosemary Conditioning Hair Oil and two other varieties of Weleda Shampoo. I was especially excited to see the Rosemary Conditioning Hair Oil. A good hair oil does wonders for a healthy scalp but so far none of the ones I’ve tried has really blown me away. I had high hopes that the Weleda oil would finally be the variety that won my heart.
The Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner provided a thorough clean that left my hair feeling soft and silky. Because my hair is long and the individual strands are quite fine, I always like using a strengthening treatment at least once a week to help prevent the strands from breaking and the Oat Replenishing Treatment was perfect for this with its blend of Shea butter, coconut oil, buckthorn oil and oat extract. I loved how soft my hair was after using this treatment and how it stayed silky and manageable for days with minimized breakage!
As expected, the Rosemary Hair Oil was another favourite product. What immediately captivated me about this oil was the scent. The fresh herbal smell was so refreshing and such a nice change from most floral and fruity scents of most hair care products. But after using the oil once or twice, I loved it for much more than just the scent. A few drops massaged through my hair after showering added extra shine and strength to my long locks. And I also tried a pre-wash treatment with the oil by applying it to my hair dry and letting it soak in for half an hour before showering and using the Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner. The feel of my hair after was absolutely fabulous!
Weleda wants to challenge you to trade your current hair care products for the Weleda Oat Replenishing hair care line for thirty days as well, so the company is offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader a Weleda hair care prize pack like the one I received, an $85 value! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about which of these products you’re most excited to try!
The Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner from the Weleda line are great, but it’s the Oat Replenishing Treatment and Rosemary Conditioning Hair Oil that really won my heart. And since the entire line is free of synthetic fragrances, sulphates, silicones, mineral oils and preservatives, I can feel good about using them too! For hair care that’s good for you and good for the environment, the Weleda Oat Replenishing collection is a great choice. Give it a try and see if you want to make the switch after taking the Weleda Hair Dare!

I think I would like to try the Rosemary hot oil first. I too have long and fine hair and I think this would work great to help strengthen it as well. The scent sounds really good too.
