My best tip is to give everyone in the household a task and make cleaning/sprucing up a team effort! Gets things done much faster.
Make the guestroom inviting – put out bottled water and personal soaps/lotions and towels in a basket. Go all out and get slippers for them too!
My tip for preparing the home for the holidays is to use scented candles to make the house smell festive
