Though it might not be the first place to pop into your mind, Las Vegas can be the perfect vacation for a family. If you’re bringing your little ones on your next trip to the Strip, make sure you plan some exciting and fun family-friendly activities. Just because Vegas is riddled with casinos, shows, and parties, doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of family vacation spots in the mix. From high-flying thrills at amusement parks to learning about history at local museums, your family vacation in Las Vegas will be memorable for everyone! Take a look at these six kid-friendly spots.
Adventure Dome
As America’s largest indoor amusement park, the Adventure Dome spans 5.5 acres of land all under a glass encasement. Whether you like thrills or just a day with the family, Adventure Dome has something for everyone. Make your family vacation complete with a visit to this adventure park. With typical Vegas flare, the roller coasters are perfect for older kids while the carnival rides, mini golf, and games are just right for a younger crowd. If you’re traveling during Halloween, there’s no other place in Vegas that celebrates like the Adventure Dome. With ghosts and ghouls around every corner, you’ll get a fright from more than the coaster loops. What’s best about this family vacation spot is that you can have fun rain or shine!
The Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel
Nothing makes a family vacation complete like a trip to the aquarium. Unlike other aquariums around the world, the Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel is home to over 5,000 exotic fish. With an 117,000-gallon tank, visitors can see sharks, stingrays, and colorful coral. If you or your kids are a lover of fantasy, see mermaid shows where you little one can interact with these spectacular performers. You’ll be amazed as they perform stunts and twirls. Watch professional divers feed the beautiful fish. Let your little ones ask questions about the different species and get answers right from the divers. Your family vacation in Las Vegas isn’t complete with out a trip under the sea!
High Roller Observation Wheel
Similar to the London Eye or the Skywheel, the High Roller Observation Wheel is a 550-foot tall Ferris wheel. Boasting 360-degree views of Las Vegas, you and your family will love the lights and sights. Whether you’re taking a ride during the day or night, you’ll never have a bad trip. The observation wheel is right in the midst of the LINQ Promenade, a perfect outdoor area filled with shops and restaurants. Make the most of your family vacation as kids under 12 ride for free! You’ll get the highest views of the city.
Town Square Children’s Park
If you’re traveling with small children, finding a place for them to run and have fun is important. The Town Square Children’s Park is the perfect place for your little ones. With décor mimicking southern California, the Children’s Park is a beautiful place of fun. The Children’s Park is just down the Strip from Mandalay Bay. With a fun tree house, hedge maze, and playhouses, your kids will love their playtime. Bring a swimsuit and let them frolic in the jetted fountain. Grab a snack from the café and visit the playhouse for an afternoon of storytelling on the stage.
Las Vegas Natural History Museum
Who says a family vacation can’t be educational? Take a break from the shows and the Strip to take a trip a few miles out of town to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. With exhibits suited for children and families, the Natural History Museum has a selection of the best historical pieces from the past. With life-size wooly mammoths, dinosaurs, and life-like replicas, your kids will be walking through the past as soon as they walk through the door.

Take a stroll through different pieces of earth as you explore jungles, the sea, the ancient world, and more. Let your children spend time in the Kid’s Corner discovering dinosaurs, fish, and other wildlife. Explore the world of ancient cultures with a trip to Egypt. You’ll love the family atmosphere, and your kids will love learning while having fun!
HERSHEY’S Chocolate World Las Vegas
What kid doesn’t love chocolate? Families visiting Vegas can make the most of their vacation with a trip to HERSHEY’S Chocolate World. As a chocolate dream come true, kids and parents alike can shop for the latest and greatest HERSHEY’S creations. For the more adventurous type, build your own chocolate and peanut butter creation. Ready to send a letter back home? Visit the social media booth to create and send e-cards to friends and family back home.
