If there’s one thing that I believe is hugely beneficial in my boys’ development, it’s building and creating with their hands. From simple crafts at school to projects at home with wood scraps, a hammer and nails, there’s so much learning that goes on when a child is building something on their own! That’s why I’ve always loved Kiwi Crate subscription boxes.
These fun-filled boxes for different age levels contain a craft or building project centered around a certain theme. The Koala Crate is for children from 3-4, the Kiwi Crate is for children from 5-8, the Doodle Crate is for craft-loving kids from 9-13 and the Tinker Crate is for future engineers between 9-13. No matter what types of activities your children love, there’s a crate for them!
I recently received the December Kiwi Crate and Tinker Crate so that I could check out the boxes for myself. The Kiwi Crate featured a glowing snow globe craft kit. I loved the idea of taking a classic snow globe craft and making it extra special with glowing light! The Tinker Crate was a clever LED luminary.
I’m always impressed by how perfectly age-appropriate the kits from Kiwi Crate are, and these two boxes were no exception. Benjamin had so much fun dumping the glitter into his globes and then decorating each one with stickers. And the way the little light in the base lit up the glitter added such a special holiday touch to the finished globe.
Meanwhile, Zackary carefully built his LED light, scratched a pattern onto the clear disc and decorated it with stickers. Both projects looked so great when they were done!
But as fun as these boxes were, the best part of getting a Kiwi Crate is knowing that when you’re finished with it, there will be another one on the way the next month! Learning and entertainment that just keeps coming all year long…what child wouldn’t love that!
With Christmas less than two weeks away, there’s no better addition to the action figures and video games under the tree than a subscription to Kiwi Crate. Kids will love the fun and adults will love how much learning is happening with every single craft and activity.
The concept of kids developing real skills by doing clever crafts that result in beautifully finished products is one that the entire family will love!
