One of the biggest downsides of dietary restrictions is missing out on tasty treats.
I have an allergy to raw mushrooms and even though I discovered it in my tween years and haven’t eaten them since, I still miss the delicious marinated mushrooms my mom used to make for potlucks.
I can only imagine how much harder it is to find tasty snacks and treats with an allergy to gluten, dairy or nuts!
That’s why I’m so happy Enjoy Life baking mixes have come to Canada. This line of mixes and gluten-free flour lets those with dietary restrictions or allergies indulge in some of the tasty foods that most of us take for granted.
From pancakes to muffins to pizza, these mixes help make restricted eating fun!
I recently received an assortment of Enjoy Life products to test out and I couldn’t wait to get cooking.
I’d just tried a scrumptious Caramel Nut Brownie on a press trip and wanted to recreate it in a gluten-free version using the Enjoy Life Brownie Mix. And so my Gluten-Free Turtles Brownies were born!
Since Enjoy Life baking mixes are also nut-free, milk-free and soy-free, this recipe can be easily tailored to other dietary needs as well.
Eliminate the nuts for a gluten-free and nut-free treat. Or eliminate the caramel sauce and choose a dairy-free chocolate for a decadent dairy-free vegan treat.
No matter how you tweak the recipe to suit you, you’ll love the rich, moist flavour of these brownies!
Enjoy Life products are available now at select grocery stores across Canada and once you try one of these delicious baking mixes, you’ll want to try them all.
Whether you have allergies and food sensitivities yourself, or you’re cooking for a friend or family member with a special diet, having these mixes in the house makes life so much easier…and more delicious!
