If there’s one universal truth I’ve discovered as a mother of boys, it’s that life with boys is messy! From dirt on the floor to pee on the toilet seat, I’ve pretty much resigned myself to dealing with random messes for the rest of my life. But while some messes are just flat-out gross, others are a lot more tolerable. Cleaning up the spilled chocolate from a kitchen baking session or scraps of paper and foam from a marathon crafting spree is worth the effort considering how much fun my boys have making those messes!
Luckily, cleaning up after my boys has become a lot easier since I discovered Swiffer products! Personally, I think that the favourite messy project my boys have ever made was our family hand-print artwork. When it came to making a mess, this was in a class of its own! Coating our hands and arms in acrylic paint, pressing them down on a canvas and then using other colours of paint and our fingerprints to decorate meant lots and lots of cleanup. And as hard as we tried, a few splatters ended up on the floor. The Swiffer WetJet made quick work of the mess, though, and the end results were well worth it!

We made a huge mess carving jack-o-lanterns for Halloween.
Most of my creative messes usually happen right when I wake in the morning. I’m usually groggy and half asleep. This morning I got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen to make a coffee. Put a coffee pod in the Keurig machine and pressed brew. Went for a quick washroom break and came back to see my freshly brewed coffee all over the counter and floor. I forgot to place a coffee cup on the drip tray before hitting the brew button. #FAIL LMAO! Not a great start to my morning. The rest of the day wasn’t much better. Should have stayed in bed! LOL!
I took wood off my ceiling and there was lots of plaster everywhere.
My daughter frequently makes messes with glitter and glitter glue.
the full can of paint that went down the basement stairs and opened up on the floor below was spectacular…..New Years Eve 2000!

a bag of flour got knocked off the counter and landed on the dog. The dog jumped up and ran. Flour everywhere!!!
My kids started baking with me between 9 and 12 months old so we’ve had a lot of baking messes. I’m also a fan of kids doing crafts that they design on their own and we have a whole box of glitter shakers on the bottom shelf of the craft cupboard. One time we were making crowns and there was glitter all over our school room!

Yes I agree, sparkles are definitely the top contender on my list of messes. May 10 year old, love to make sparkle soup. I have several plastic cups that could not be salvaged
