Minimize Wedding Season Stress with 4 Simple Tips

Did you know that May is the unofficial start of wedding season? Even though my own wedding isn’t until October, that doesn’t mean there won’t be other celebrations over the warm spring and summer months.

In fact, both Jeremy and I have cousins getting married between now and our own wedding! I’ll admit that the thought of those multiple events, and the prep that goes with them, has my head spinning a bit already. Just being a guest at numerous weddings can be taxing! Luckily, Church & Dwight has four great tips for a stress-free wedding season:

  1. Skip the Expensive Waxing Appointments. If you want to feel smooth and confident in your most leggy dress at the next wedding you attend, opt for home wax strips over a salon appointment or shaving. The Nair WAX READY-STRIPS are ready-to-use. Just peel and place, no rubbing or warming required. They remove hair from the roots and last for up to 4 weeks. These strips are my new personal favourite hair-removal method because they’re so quick and easy to use!
  2. Feel Good, Look Good. Pro tip: If you want to look your best, you have to feel your best – and that means wearing what makes you comfortable. Pick a dress that you won’t be fidgeting in all night so you can dance with confidence! And if you’re stuck wearing a certain style (I’m looking at you, bridesmaids), investing in the proper undergarments for the dress can make a big difference in your comfort level. Even the bustiest woman can pull off a strapless style with the right bra!
  3. Show Your Smile. It’s the simplest truth – a smile is the most beautiful accessory to any outfit! So while you’re smiling your way through the next wedding ceremony and reception, make sure it’s a bright one! You don’t have to spend lots of money on at-home kits or salon procedures to get a pearly-white smile; you just have to pick the right toothpaste. Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh toothpaste is clinically proven to whiten your teeth in five days while it deep cleans and provides long-lasting freshness with a cool surge of spearmint. It fits perfectly into your daily routine and will have you smiling until the last song is played at the reception!
  4. Post-Wedding Recovery. Weddings can be tiring! You’ll be sure to feel the negative effects of standing, dancing and minimal sleep the very next morning. If you don’t have the luxury of sleeping in the day after a wedding, be sure to drink lots of water throughout the night and wear comfortable shoes to keep yourself feeling ready for anything. If you’re wearing a long dress, you may even be able to secretly wear your favourite comfortable sneakers!

Whether you’re attending one wedding or ten over the coming months, these tips will make it easy to enjoy the celebration while minimizing your stress and preparation time. And that’s something that’s sure to make a special event even more magical!

  1. It sure is stressful, but such a beautiful day. I had an amazing day at my wedding so it was all worth it in the end. But my sister did a destination wedding and I think she might of been on the right track.

  2. I can’t say weddings are stressful for the men , but boy o boy do the women ever have a hard time. I still have 1 daughter to go keep my fingers crossed
