There are always those people on a family holiday list that are a little harder to shop for.
But luckily, there’s one gift that almost everyone will love: the gift of memories!
With digital photography being all the rage, too many pictures sit forever on a computer instead of being enjoyed.
So this year, surprise a loved one by turning a favourite photo into a beautiful piece of wall art at BestCanvas!
I recently had the chance to create my own piece of BestCanvas.ca art and since I’d just received the photos from our wedding, I knew at once that I’d be using one of them for my creation.
I decided to create a canvas with a gallery-style floating frame in white. Jeremy and I went through the pictures together and eventually decided which one we’d frame.
I uploaded the picture, chose my size and frame colour, and waited for my masterpiece to arrive.
Mere days later, the canvas was at the door, and I couldn’t wait to see how it had turned out. When I pulled it out of the box, I was blown away by how beautiful it looked.
Since the photo had already been perfectly cropped by the photographer, I didn’t have extra photo border to wrap around the canvas.
I’d chosen the mirror option for the canvas edges and it had been the perfect choice for displaying the entire photo and still giving the edges a great traditional wrapped look.
The floating frame highlighted the canvas not only because of the contrast between the stark white frame and the darker toned photo, but also through the use of empty space between the canvas and frame.
It gave the entire photo a professional look worthy of any art gallery, and I was so excited to hang it up on our wall.
We have so many beautiful wedding photos that I’m sure this is just the first of many pieces that we’ll be making for our walls.
And with such great prices and quality, printing our photos at BestCanvas just makes sense!
Check out the website and print a special photo for somebody you care about this holiday season. It’s a gift that even the person with everything will love!
