Of all the things that I love about summer, one of my favourites is having company visit. From relatives coming from out of town to my boys’ neighbourhood friends just coming to play for a few hours, a full house is a summer house in my mind!

My husband is an avid gardener and is always bring mud in on his clothes that end up on my white kitchen floor, is my biggest issue
The kitty litter boxes. They do their business outside the boxes a lot and it just creates a big mess1
A full can of coffee was dumped on the kitchen floor. Not sure which was worse: The mess or no coffee.
The 2 dogs track things into the house constantly!
My biggest problem is my 3 black lab dogs in the rainy muddy weather.
So far the worst has been water and sandy messes this summer :)

The biggest summer mess is the kitchen floor and hallway, after the dogs have been cooling themselves down in our pond!
We just got back from a day at the beach a few days ago and OMG the amount of sand that poured out of everything including shoes, bathing suits, towels, bags etc. I could have made my own beach right at home! That took forever to clean up and I still feel grit between my toes, ack!
Two, I can think of right away — sand and apricots! The kids dried apricots, and you can guess the rest. Sand, though annoying is a gift of summer!
