Get Festive with Tasty New Seasonal Treats at McDonald’s Canada

December is here and that means I am in full holiday mode! The tree is up, our new house is strung with lights and I’ve already dressed up Baby Cormac in a sweet Christmas outfit. But the holidays aren’t just about the decorations for me. They’re also about the food! And McDonald’s Canada has introduced some delicious festive menu items that I couldn’t wait to try.

My personal favourite festive item? Parmesan & Garlic Seasoned Fries! This delicious new offering manages to do the impossible and make the world-famous McDonald’s French Fries even more delicious, by tossing them in butter and adding a savoury seasoning of garlic powder, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and parsley. They’re absolutely addictive!

But the new Maple & Cheddar Seriously Chicken Sandwich is just as good and such a fun seasonal treat. Choose from crispy or grilled chicken on a brioche-style bun topped with cheddar cheese, leafy lettuce, tomato, mayo, crispy onions and a mouth-watering maple and mustard sauce. Every bite of this sandwich was pure bliss, and the maple added just the right sweetness.

To finish off my meal, I dug into a Chocolate Caramel Shortbread McFlurry. The caramel sauce swirled into this ice cream treat is deliciously decadent, with chocolate chips and shortbread crumbles providing the perfect compliment to the rich caramel flavour. But if you’re the type that prefers to save ice cream for summertime, then the Peppermint Brownie and Gingerbread Blondie make equally festive desserts.

Since these tasty menu items are only around for a limited time, don’t miss out on your chance to give them a try. The Parmesan & Garlic Seasoned Fries make a great afternoon snack when you’re in the mood for something savoury! Try one or all of them this December and see how McDonald’s has added festive cheer to its menu with these great new choices!
