It is so important to save where you can, not only for your wallet but also to reduce the impact on the planet. I always turn off lights when I leave a room and instead of 3 light bulbs I only have 2 in a fixture etc. I remember my brother telling me that one of his sons had difficulty remembering to turn off lights and my brother kept reminding him. However when my nephew moved into his own home he in turn reminded his dad to turn off the lights when leaving the room. I do think that people (including kids) who don’t pay the bills themselves don’t think about it really.
