Learn to Love Your Low-Flow Toilet with #MajestaEZ flush Bathroom Tissue

January 25, 2014 by Kathryn 28 Comments

This make just look like an ordinary toilet, but it’s actually the bane of my existence and has been for many years. I still remember when it entered our home after the tank on the previous toilet cracked. I had been excited at the time. Not only did we upgrade to a brand new low-flow toilet; we also used the replacement as an excuse to redo the entire bathroom. With wood accents, cheery peach paint and white trim, I loved the result, and my new sink and toilet too.

And then the nightmare began. To my great surprise, I learned that a low-flow toilet, or at least the one we had installed in our bathroom, was terrible. It often needed to be flushed multiple times almost immediately after being installed, and once both boys were potty trained…well, it got even worse. Combine an overzealous child, a roll of toilet paper and a low-flow toilet and you have a recipe for disaster. Without getting too graphic, I’ll just say that it’s an odd day that I don’t need to use the plunger at least once.

When it comes to bathroom tissue, Canadians have a lot of choice. Strong, soft, rippled, diamond-weaved, extra-absorbent…the list goes on and on. But if you’re heading out on a summer vacation in an RV or planning a trip to the summer cottage, you may want to make sure that your bathroom tissue is a variety that won’t clog up your septic system!

majesta trees of knowledge competitionFor the second year in a row, MAJESTA household paper products is giving one very lucky Canadian school the chance to win a complete, customized outdoor classroom worth $20,000! • Trees of Knowledge program partners, Tree Canada, an organization dedicated to empowering communities to develop and maintain their green infrastructure, will provide technical support to the school. The school will also receive curriculum support through Focus on Forests, a teaching tool that provides hands-on activities and support materials for outdoor learning.

To enter the Trees of Knowledge competition, schools must submit the following by January 27, 2012:

  • A completed application form, available to download at: www.majestatreesofknowledge.ca/apply
  • A 400 word essay on why their school is the most worthy candidate for an outdoor classroom
  • One to five photos of the school grounds, including the proposed site of the outdoor classroom
