My family has taken a lot of vacations over the years, and discovered a lot of places to love. And one of the most fun-filled trips we ever took was to beautiful California. When people think of California, places like Hollywood, Silicon Valley and the Napa Valley wine region tend to spring to mind. But […]
Even though it’s not an official holiday in the United States and Canada, I love celebrating Cinco de Mayo in some way every year. Sometimes I plan a whole big Mexican-themed party just for fun. Other years I’ll just use the day as an opportunity to whip up a pan of tasty enchiladas for supper. But I always try to add a little touch of Mexican fun to the fifth of May in some way!
This year, the boys are both in different sports each week and free time is at a minimum. But that doesn’t mean we have to skip the celebration! When Que Pasa sent me an assortment of its popular organic tortilla chips and salsa, I knew I had everything I needed to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a fun Mexican after-school snack. I may eat pretty healthy overall, but I still love my snacks! So I like making sure that I have alternatives to traditional junk food in my house when the snack craving hits. Fruit and vegetables are always a great choice, but sometimes I want something that’s crunchy, salty and satisfies my craving for snack food without having to resort to junk, and that’s why I love Way Better Snacks.
Way Better Snacks offers a variety of sprouted grain tortilla chips that are a healthier alternative to regular chips but still completely delicious! With Black Bean, Multigrain, Blue Corn, Sweet Potato and Sweet Chili flavours to choose from, there’s sure to be a favourite for everyone. I received an assortment of chips to snack on recently and I couldn’t wait to dig in.
My boys and I love our snacks. While regular meals are great, snacks are definitely a family favourite whether we’re enjoying sweet treats or savoury crunchy foods. Obviously, that means that I have to be careful about the snacks we eat because we’d end up with a lot of unhealthy food in our bodies otherwise! Fresh fruit and crunchy vegetables with homemade dip are always popular choices but every once in a while, I want to indulge without being completely unhealthy. So when I heard about RW Garcia chips, I was intrigued.
These tortilla chips are organic, all natural and full of good-for-you ingredients such as flax, sesame and chia seeds. They’re made with stone-ground organic corn and are gluten free. They sounded like a swoon-worthy snack for a chip lover like me and recently I received a variety of RW Garcia chips to test out for myself.
