One of the things I love about shopping at Real Canadian Superstore is the selection. Whether I’m looking for a new dinner option or just a fun snack I haven’t tried before, I know that I’ll find plenty of new items to test out at my local store. Recently I received a package of some of the new T&T brand Asian products, which were tested and approved by the CEO of T&T Supermarket, that the store has introduced and I was intrigued by the new choices available.
Stir-fry is a pretty popular meal choice in our house since the boys love the bite-sized morsels of food and I love the speediness of the dish on a busy day. So I was especially excited to see the T&T Korean Kalbi Marinade Sauce in our package. I combined it with steak, red pepper, carrots and broccoli to create a quick and delicious dinner. The sauce had a unique sweet and spicy taste that all three of us loved and while it paired especially nicely with the beef I’m sure it would be tasty with chicken as well.
We also received T&T Saltine Crackers and Cheddar Crackers. While I liked the single-serve packages, I didn’t really taste a difference between the Saltine Crackers and regular saltines. But the cheddar crackers were another story. The boys loved the cheese-flavoured crackers and the individual packages made it easy to give them each an equal amount quickly.
Because the T&T product line includes some great frozen entrees, Loblaws sent me a gift card so that I could pick up a few other products at my local Real Canadian Superstore. My personal favourite was the T&T Cooked Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls. The crisp and flavourful little spring rolls take just 20 minutes to prepare and are delicious with plum sauce as an easy appetizer.

Interestingly enough I am the one who balks over new foods and my son just loves to.. I do like trying new foods but if the scent isn’t one I favour there is no way I will eat it, although I will cook it ..I find that this happens alot when I am breast feeding , which I am currently but once it stops I am more adventurous.. My son eats candied insects incl a scorpion in a sucker so I won’t ever go that far .
I love trying new recipes and food and so does my oldest son!
We have a T&T right by our place, and it’s a great place to find new foods. Our kids love going there.
