Hollywood’s oldest modern family is now taking over your television with the Blu-ray and DVD release of DreamWorks The Croods from 20th Century Fox! This movie is one that I have been excited to see ever since the previews were released; it looked like the perfect family-friendly comedy for a relaxing movie night with my boys. Here’s a brief synopsis:

Zackary had heard about this movie from friends at school and so when it arrived, he couldn’t wait to watch it. We decided to spend the afternoon checking out the movie together and within the first few minutes, I knew it was going to be the perfect way to spend a few hours together. The Croods is absolutely packed with fun antics and clever jokes that will keep everybody entertained.
The storyline is one that parents and older children alike will be able to relate to. Teenager Eep is growing up and needs more freedom, but her father Grug fears the unknown and wants to make sure that she stays safe. Of course, every parent knows that there will eventually be a day that we have to let our children fly on their own and Grug learns that too as the family travels through the hostile ancient land.
We all enjoyed this movie and it is a great choice for family movie night. The Croods is available on Blu-ray and DVD now and is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike. Check it out and get ready for prehistoric fun and excitement!
