Sensitive skin is something that we understand very well in this family. Between allergies, a history of eczema and the fact that our skin often seems to just be easily irritated, I always make sure that I’m choosing skincare products that are gentle, natural and helpful at soothing irritated skin.
Weleda products are always a top choice for me when I’m looking for natural, effective personal care products and the company’s line of baby wash and lotions is no exception. I didn’t learn about the brand until after my boys were already out of the baby days, but with so many babies in my extended family, I’ve had the chance to hear about how well Weleda works anyways!
Now, the company has come out with a new line of Weleda Baby Derma White Mallow skincare products which have been specifically designed for very sensitive and eczema-prone skin. As one of my young nieces is almost a year old and suffers from mild eczema, I knew the products would be perfect for her.
The Weleda Baby Derma White Mallow lotion and face cream didn’t really have a noticeable fragrance, and the lotion had nice, fast absorption so that skin was left feeling smooth and soft instead of greasy. While it’s hard to know for sure if the products helped sooth the itchy patches my niece already had on her legs, it was easy to see that the products didn’t aggravate her skin at all. I especially love that the line includes a face cream, since finding a cream that’s gentle enough for a baby’s face can be challenging even for regular infant skin!
Weleda Baby also offers a Calendula line for normal infant skincare which is also very gentle and nourishing. My brother and his wife recently welcomed their first baby into their lives and I knew these products would be perfect for their new daughter. I especially loved the light, sweet scent of these products thanks to the natural almond oil, calendula and chamomile.
If you want to ensure your little one’s sensitive skin is protected and nourished, Weleda is here to help! The company is very generously offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader an assortment of Weleda Baby Calendula and Weleda Baby Derma White Mallow skincare products, a $94 value! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about which of these products you would most like to try first.
These products are such a wonderful choice for a baby’s delicate skin, and I love the fact that Weleda has created this new collection especially for very sensitive skin and baby eczema. The soothing organic ingredients provide great moisturizing and relief from itchiness so that parents and little ones are both happier. Find it at major stores across Canada and help soothe your little one’s sensitive skin!
