It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Silk beverages. The variety of non dairy and gluten-free flavours is fantastic and I love incorporating the beverages into my recipes as well as drinking them on their own.
The Silk Coconut Unsweetened is one of my favourite choices for baking and the Silk Almond Original is delicious in a cup of coffee in the morning. But now, Silk is innovating once again with new Silk Creamy Cashew beverage.
Featuring just sixty calories a serving and as much calcium as dairy milk, its smooth, rich texture makes it a wonderful choice for drinking or for recipes that benefit from a little extra creaminess.
Of course, when I had the chance to test out new Silk Creamy Cashew, I couldn’t be content with just drinking a glassful. I did try it on its own and it was absolutely delicious with just a hint of cashew flavour, but what I really wanted to do was make a tasty treat with the beverage. And this Maple Vanilla Non Dairy Ice Cream was the perfect fit for Silk Creamy Cashew’s smooth texture.
What I love most about this recipe is that it doesn’t need an ice cream maker to get that melt-in-your-mouth ice cream texture. And with just three ingredients, it’s a snap to whip up any time. It’s also a great recipe for making with kids since little ones love to shake the jar every half hour.
Looking for other great lactose-free frozen treats? These Kale Fudge Pops are creamy and delicious with an added boost of nutrition!
Whether you prefer almond milk, coconut milk or new Silk Creamy Cashew, this non dairy ice cream recipe is sure to put a smile on your face. Give it a try and see how easy non dairy ice cream can be!
