Breeze Through Your Holiday Shopping with the YP ShopWise App

If there’s one time of the year that’s hard to stay organized, it’s the holidays. Between stocking up on festive food, shopping for gifts and taking advantage of some of the awesome deals available, shopping during the holidays is lots of fun, but it can also be pretty frantic! This year, the YP ShopWise app from Yellow Pages is determined to make the holiday shopping experience as pleasant as possible, and the app is now available on Android and Blackberry as well as iOS!

I had the chance to test out the app for myself recently to see what it was like. Getting it set up was as easy as could be. I simply downloaded the free app, opened it up and gave it permission to use my location so that I could find deals close to me. Then I was ready to start exploring! I started by clicking the “Nearby” tab at the front. By zooming in, I could find all the deals currently in my area. I was immediately impressed by the variety of deals that were displayed; I was able to access deals at businesses ranging from fast food restaurants to jewellery stores!

I could also search for deals by looking at specific products. I’ve been wanting to buy a Blu-ray player, so I selected the “Electronics” section from the product list. Then I was able to narrow down my search further by choosing the “TVs & Home Theatre” category. I found a Samsung Blu-ray player currently on sale online at NCIX for just $68 with free shipping!

YP ShopWise also has a brand new feature that’s perfect for deal-hunters looking for the lowest prices when shopping. The “Flyers” tab features the weekly flyers for a variety of stores so that users can browse great deals right on their phone. I liked the ability to save my favourite flyers so that I could access them quickly. I also appreciated being able to browse the most popular deals to see what offers I might want to grab.

It was incredibly easy to browse through deals with the YP ShopWise app and being able to check out new flyers, search for specific products and even find cool freebies was so much fun. And with the app’s upcoming Gift Finder feature soon to be released, it’s sure to come in handy when I’m doing my Christmas shopping!
