These no-bake snack bites combine oats, honey, peanut butter and any other fun additions your heart desires for a snack that’s as healthy or as decadent as you want it to be.
There are so many amazing recipes for these tasty morsels on the Kraft What’s Cooking website, but I decided I wanted to create my own, and after seeing the recipe for Fruit And Nut Peanut Butter Snack Bites, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to use for my own version of peanut butter balls.
And so my Tropical Peanut Butter Balls were created!
By using some wholesome and delicious ingredients to up the nutritional value of these fun energy balls, I was able to create a treat that made a perfect after school snack or quick breakfast for my boys on a busy morning.
I used ground flax seed for extra fibre along with a delicious blend of tropical fruit and nuts for a treat with tons of flavour that would also provide my boys with extra energy.
Since these energy balls are so easy, there’s really no limit to what can be done with them. In fact, as much as I liked making this healthy tropical version, I’m already planning another batch. This time I’m thinking Rocky Road Peanut Butter Balls using chopped Baker’s Semisweet Chocolate, walnuts, coconut and mini marshmallows!

Tropical Peanut Butter Balls
Easy peanut butter energy balls packed with nutrients, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup large flake rolled oats
- 2 tbsp. diced dried mango
- 2 tbsp. dried banana chips, broken into bits
- 2 tbsp. chopped macadamia nuts
- 2 tbsp. unsweetened coconut
- 2 tbsp. ground flax seed
Instructions
- Mix peanut butter and honey until blended. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll into 20 one-inch balls.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate up to one week.

Sounds easy and tasty however i would use no – nut butter as one of my daughter’s is allergic to nuts.

These look DELICIOUS! I make peanut butter and oatmeal balls with chocolate chips, but I never thought of using dried fruits! I love the tastes of pineapple, mango, and coconut, but I never would have thought to mix them with peanut butter. Can’t wait to try this!

Sorry, but the only thing I like from the ingredients is mango, so I’m afraid I won’t be making these. Strange really as all my children like peanut butter.
