I pre soak the stains and they clean so much easier
I’ve started adding a cup of vinegar to particularly smelly washes. It takes lingering odours out.
I always pre soak then use a spot remover and then wash as usual

Always pre-treat bad stains. It makes a huge difference.
Sort clothing and wash with like colors. Use Borax or Oxi-clean for odors. Treat stains right away then soak the clothing item.I always put the liquids in the washer first and put about 3 inches of water and mix it around so all the liquids mix together before adding clothing.
