Halloween is fast approaching and kids are already starting to bubble with anticipation. Channeling all that energy and excitement can be a challenge for a parent, but if you’ve got a little girl that just can’t wait to trick or treat, you may want to plan a little pre-celebration with a Monster High: Boo York, Boo York screening party! The first Monster High musical is available on DVD now and it’s sure to get your little one into the haunting mood. Here’s four tips for throwing a party to remember!
Dress the Part
The best way to get excited about a theme is to look the part! Monster High™ is now offering a wide range of costumes from Spectra Vondergeist to Frankie Stein, you can bring all your favourite characters to life with your friends!
Know All the Words
While the best part of a screening party is seeing the movie for the first time with all of your best friends, you can also get excited in advance and learn the lyrics to the songs. After all, isn’t belting out your favourite tunes badly with your besties all part of the fun? Prep in advance and watch the Boo York Boo York lyric videos here.
Decorate
Help bring the theme to life even more by transforming your living room into Monster High™ or Boo York! From creating your own Monster of Liberty out of paper, to hanging cobwebs and other spooky decorations, you can recreate the Monster High™ world all around you.
Concessions
Help bring the Creepateria to life with delicious Monster High™ themed snacks. From graveyard taco dip to dragon’s blood punch – you’ll need to pinch yourself to believe you’re not in the real Monster High™ world.

Halloween is one of my favourite times of year, so I can’t resist getting into the spirit as early as possible. And since my nieces are currently huge fans of Monster High, I know that spending some quality time with them at a Monster High: Boo York, Boo York screening party will be the perfect way to do that this year! Grab a few supplies, treat your little girl to her own party and make sure to share the pictures with the #BooYorkBooYork hashtag to inspire others! It’s a fun way to get ready for Halloween fun!
