Knowing the temperature will soon drop and the ground will be covered in snow reminds me of all the little household errands I need to do in order to be ready for winter. One of my Fall safety chores is to double check all locks are working and keep the extra keys in a safe place.
Get the furnace serviced!
Double checking the windows we’ve had open all summer are locked tight and secure.
We check the smoke & C02 detectors.
We make sure all our windows close and lock.
We make sure the filters are changed for the heater.
I lock my bike up any time I’m not on it.
Cleaning up the garden and yard so no one trips/slips/falls.
