June is the month of shopping for dads and grads, and if you’re looking for the perfect gift, you can’t go wrong with a GrafoMap! These unique maps can be created using any longitude and latitude to showcase a specific town or city, a great memento to let Dad reminisce about his childhood or help your grad remember his hometown as he heads off to college! Recently I had the chance to create and review my own GrafoMap and I couldn’t wait to see what they were like.
I considered making a map of my own hometown of Lumsden, but instead I decided to create a print of my fiance’s hometown area instead. He was raised on an acreage in the Penetanguishine/Midland area and at first, I wasn’t sure which one to choose for the map. Eventually, I realized that I could use his exact address to create a map that centred right on the house where he was raised. The resulting map print, with glimpses of Georgian Bay around it, was graphically stunning!
There are a few different design styles for the maps so that you can choose one to suit your particular style or your room’s decor. While the stark black and white style was appealing in a minimalist way, I loved the multi-colour style most. Users can also choose between either a plain map with no text or one that includes the city name and coordinates. I felt that including the text and location was much more meaningful, while also giving the map some extra flair!
The map arrived about a week after I placed my order, and it was just as beautiful as I had hoped. It was printed on very sturdy poster paper and the colours were bold and striking. I know Jeremy will be so excited when we give it to him on Father’s Day! I had a frame in the house to fit the poster but for those that want a complete, ready-to-hang gift, the GrafoMap can also be purchased framed for an additional charge.
Do you know somebody that would appreciate having their own GrafoMap? You’re in luck! One lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader is going to win their very own GrafoMap Custom Map Print, a $49 value. To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about which location you would use to create your GrafoMap.
With four different map styles, a choice of portrait or landscape layout, two different available sizes and optional framing, creating the perfect personalized gift can be done with the click of a button at GrafoMap. The site even offers free shipping and returns! Check out GrafoMap for yourself and create a gift that will help your loved ones always keep home in their hearts, no matter how far life’s journey’s take them!
