On our recent two-day road trip to central Ontario, I took a few of the snacks along to keep us fuelled up on the road.

Personally, what I enjoyed most was the Enjoy Life Not Nuts! Seed and Fruit Mix. I am a huge fan of nuts so I was a little bit sceptical about a mix that didn’t include nuts in the ingredients. But I also love seeds and the blend of pumpkin and sunflower seeds mixed with dried fruit was just as delicious as any trail mix I’d had before. I especially loved the Beach Bash variety; putting dried pineapple in a trail mix was new to me and it added such a fun and exotic flavour!

But for my chocolate-loving boys, the BoomChocoBoom Bar was the top choice. Since the entire family adores milk chocolate, I wasn’t sure what they would think about dairy-free chocolate, but there was no dairy needed to make this treat tasty! I let the boys share a bar after lunch on the road and the two squares each made the perfect sweet snack after a meal.
