If there’s one universal truth about parenting, it’s that raising kids is expensive! I’ve mastered all kinds of ways to save money over the last eleven years of raising kids, and every extra dollar in my pocket helps ensure that we have more money for family fun!
Of course, with my years of practice, I have a few favourite ways to make money online from the comfort of my own home. Want to start earning too? These are my top three ways of adding more money to my wallet!
Getting paid to shop is something that always puts a smile on my face, and Ebates makes it easy to save a little more when I’m shopping at my favourite online retailers. Just visit the Ebates website, log into your account and click through to your favorite website before you start shopping. You can earn up to 25% of your purchase back in cold, hard cash!
Since becoming an Ebates member, I’ve earned $88.83 in cash back for purchases I was making anyways. Just make sure to keep an eye out for special Ebates bonus rebate offers to maximize the money you earn. Visit Ebates.com in the United States or Ebates.ca in Canada to sign up.
There are dozens of online survey sites that promise cash rewards for sharing your opinion, but knowing which ones actually deliver is no easy task. That’s why I love Opinion Outpost. Signing up is quick and easy, and there are money-making surveys for all ages and interests.
After completing a few simple screening surveys, users are invited to take surveys for points that can then be redeemed for cash or gift cards. The surveys are fun and easy, and you can spend as much or as little time as you want completing new surveys!
The other highlight of Opinion Outpost? Rewards can be paid out via Paypal, for instant cash when I need it! I love not having to wait for a cheque or gift card to arrive if I want my money for a purchase right away. Just 100 points equal $10 cash via Paypal! Sign up at opinionoutpost.com in the United States or opinionoutpost.ca in Canada.
This handy new app is an initiative from the Public Health Agency of Canada and rewards you for making healthy lifestyle choices all day long, in the form of Aeroplan Points, SCENE Points, Petro-Points and more! Whatever points program is your favourite, just select it after downloading the app and get ready to rake in your rewards.
Earning points is done by completing healthy challenges each day, and the app can even be downloaded on your Apple Watch! Currently available in select Canadian provinces, this is one app you’ll want to try as soon as you can, so make sure to sign up to be notified about when it’s available to you if it’s not in your province yet. What I love about all three of these programs is how easy they are to use, because the other universal truth of parenting is that being a parent means always being busy! But that doesn’t matter with these three programs, since they’re all ones that work with any schedule, and put money in your pocket in no time.
I must admit that of these three programs, Opinion Outpost is the one that’s impressed me the most. I’ve tried survey sites before and usually get discouraged quite quickly by the low payouts and heavy time commitment needed. Opinion Outpost is the exact opposite of what I’ve come to expect from a survey site. It’s quick, fun and pays well!
But if you’re a busy parent that would love a little more money for the things you love, you’ll want to check out all of these. And then get ready to treat yourself to something fun with all the extra money in your pocket!

Love Ebates! I don’t always look sometimes when I shop but around Christmas time I sure do!
Haha Heather! I’m the same way; I occasionally forget, but NEVER when doing my Christmas shopping!
I use Carrot and ebates. Also swagbucks for some shopping that ebates doesn’t cover.
I was interested in Opinion Outpost and did some searching. Maybe they were good at one time, but I’m seeing a lot of complaints about people’s accounts being locked out. Read about it here: https://www.surveypolice.com/opinion-outpost?page=2#reviews
Thanks for the info, Donnas! Personally, I’ve had a great experience so far. I’ve earned 50 points in the last day or so and look forward to cashing them out shortly. I’ll be sure to leave a comment when I do about how the process goes for me! :)
