My middle son has long been a fan of Playmobil toys and I’m only too happy to indulge that love. The high-quality sets encourage imaginative play and feature plenty of variety and attention to detail. Ever since Benjamin bought a horse and stable set with his birthday money when he was four, Playmobil has been a favourite in our household.
And now, Playmobil has become even more appealing to my seven-year-old son with a new licenced collection of DreamWorks Dragons Playmobil sets! Featuring Hiccup, Toothless and all your favourite characters, the new sets are perfect for any little dragon-tamer. I was sent the Playmobil Berk Island to review and I knew at a glance this set would be one of my son’s favourites.
What makes Playmobil so appealing is its attention to detail, and this set is no exception. From a trap-door in the floor to a working catapult to four different characters to play with (including two dragons!), Playmobil Berk is packed with different ways to play. The set even has a sword-activated flashing beacon!
My personal favourite feature is the set’s working hoist to bring characters and supplies up to the island. I also love the many animals included in the set, from seagulls to fish to crabs! My animal-loving son always finds fun ways to work the different creatures into his stories.
Want to surprise your own little one with some DreamWorks Dragons fun? Playmobil is very generously offering one lucky reader their own Playmobil Berk island, a $160 value! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about whether your child is a DreamWorks Dragons fan, a Playmobil fan or both.
This playset is so much fun for kids even if they aren’t fans of the DreamWorks Dragons movies and television series, and the line contains plenty of other great sets too. I know Benjamin will want to add the Hiccup and Toothless set to his collection soon! Find the new Playmobil DreamWorks Dragons sets at toy stores across Canada and let your little one’s imagination fly.
I would say she is a fan of both. She loves dragons and all flying fire breathing creatures.
My granddaughter and her dad are big fans of both!!
My grandchildren love Playmobil but I’m afraid that I don’t know what they think about the Playmobil DreamWorks Dragons. I would imagine that since it’s Playmobil they would get a big thumbs up from them. :-)
My kids love both! This set looks so nice!
My son is a fan of both :)
I would have to say both
We are a fan of both DreamWorks Dragon and Playmobil!
My child is a DreamWorks Dragon fan and a Playmobil fan too, this would be perfect set for kids to play with their favorite characters!
I know my nieces have several Playmobil toys they love (the stable for one). I’m sure they’d love this as well. And would make a nice change from their pony obsession :0
My grandchildren love Playmobil and Dragons! They would have a lot of fun playing together with this set.
