When we have power outages I’m always afraid it will last longer than the usual few minutes and I will have a problem of loosing food in my freezer. Having a generator would help with this and a lot of other problems.
I’d love to have a generator when the power lines go down. It sometimes takes a few days until we get power, so this would be very handy!
We had a ice storm December 2013 and lost power for 5 days right through Christmas.
We stayed in out home wrapped in blankets and went to the mall for food they had back up generators

We lose power at least twice each winter (and I live in Northern ON, so it’s cold). So I think a generator is a very good idea.
Emergencies do happen. I want to be prepared for the next power outage this winter! To keep my family warm & safe. And it also is useful all year round; I would take this camping!
