I’ve suffered from mild to moderate environmental allergies for as long as I can remember. And when my oldest two boys were born, I soon learned they had inherited the same occasional allergic outbreaks that I faced.
Living in the country, there are all kind of allergy triggers to face. From pollen to dust to mold, keeping our house as free of allergens as possible is no easy task.
In fact, recently we’ve increased the potential allergens in our house even more…with a new puppy and kitten!
Hades, our Black Lab cross, and Hermes, our Silver Bengal, mean we’re suddenly dealing with much more pet hair and dander in the house. But they’re so much fun to have around that we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Still, making sure our house stays clean and our potential for any allergic reactions is at a minimum is a must for me. That’s why I couldn’t wait to test out the Philips Series 2000i Connected Air Purifier!
This sleek home purifier uses a multi-filter system to ensure the cleanest air possible and boasts Wi-Fi connectivity so that I can monitor air quality on my phone using the Air Matters app.
I just set up our new purifier a few days ago, and I loved how quickly I was able to get it up and running. I just popped off the front cover, unwrapped the new filters inside, put them back into place and then put the front cover back on.
The system contains three different filters: a pre-filter, an active carbon filter and a HEPA filter. The three-step system is designed to help ensure indoor air quality is at its best by removing even the smallest particles from the air.
With the filters in place, I just pressed the power button and the machine went to work. In addition to cleaning the air, the Philips Series 2000i monitors the environment so that I always know what the air quality of the room is like.
And being able to check both indoor and outdoor air quality on my phone, as well as control the purifier itself, is so handy! I especially like that the app tracks the life of the filters, taking the guesswork out of when to change them.
I’ve just gotten started testing out all the features on this sleek machine, and I can’t wait to see the difference it makes for our family. I’m still brainstorming the perfect spot for our purifier, and I want to see how the different settings can be used to maximize our family’s health.
But I’m confident that in no time, I’ll notice a difference in my boys’ allergy symptoms, and my own as well! Make sure to look for my updates on the Philips Series 2000i Connected Air Purifier and how it improves our air quality over the next two months.
I am trying to find an awesome purifier like this on. Imagine it handling 300 square feet of room. Wow!
I’m looking into getting an air purifier and hadn’t heard of this one! Thanks for the review!
Thanks for letting me know. Just trying to figure out what would work best, potentially, for an approx. 1100 sq ft main level.
I have an air purifier at home (sadly, nowhere near as fancy as this one0 and it does make a huge difference in my allergies!
Is one of these enough for an entire level of a home or do you need one for each room?
One purifier can handle just under 300 square feet, so in our house, as an example, it could handle our entire upstairs, but we’d technically need two downstairs. I’ve found, though, that proximity is everything. I have ours in our family room, since that’s where we spend the most time. And even though it’s facing a large open-concept space, it does an amazing job of kicking into gear as soon as I start cooking or the dog starts jumping around! So far, I’ve been very pleased with having it there, even though it’s not rated for such a large space.
Will keep watch considering one for our place
It’s amazing the difference it can make!
We are just figuring ours out too, but I’m super pleased with how easy it is to use!
