I don’t eat fast food very often, so when I do decide to treat myself, I want the meal I choose to be something I’ll absolutely adore. And whether I’m in the mood for something sweet or something savoury, McDonald’s has some menu options that win my heart every time. In fact, Sausage and Egg McMuffin breakfast sandwiches have been my all-time favourite breakfast ever since I was a kid, and I still can’t resist an Oreo McFlurry on a hot day!
But oddly enough, one of the McDonald’s menu choices I wasn’t all that crazy about was the hamburgers. They just didn’t wow me the way some of the other menu items did, and as somebody that loves to barbeque, I was happier making my own burgers at home. Now, that’s changed thanks to the introduction of the Mighty Angus Burger!
I was asked to try out the burger for myself and see what I thought, so I grabbed one for me and one for my significant other. And with one bite, the new Mighty Angus had won my heart! This thick and juicy burger pairs delicious Canadian Angus beef with a tasty sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and bacon on a sesame and poppy seed bun for a taste sensation that’s truly irresistible!
The caramelized onions were one of the highlights of this burger for me. They paired with the flavourful beef so well and added a gourmet touch to the burger. Paired with the crisp vegetables and melted cheese, this was one burger that was just as good as any one that I’ve cooked up myself!

I have to admit that this burger impressed me more than I expected. In fact, my significant other referred to it as a “gourmet burger,” and after my first bite, I felt the same way. The high-quality ingredients and blend of flavours make this a world-class burger in my mind…but that’s only fitting considering it’s made with world-class Canadian beef!
