Of all the things that I love about summer, one of my favourites is having company visit. From relatives coming from out of town to my boys’ neighbourhood friends just coming to play for a few hours, a full house is a summer house in my mind!

The biggest summer mess I’ve had to deal with dirt being tracked into the house. I live on a farm and with all the rain we’ve had, it can make for quite a mess on the kitchen floor.

With the kids around all summer long, all day long, we get lots of spills on the floor now. Everything from water, milk and juice hits our floors daily.

I am a bit of a messy cook so I often spill and drop things on the floor. I always have to bring out the broom and floor mop at the end of each day.
Our grandson is staying with us for 3 weeks and he comes in soaking wet from playing at the splash pad, pool, or beach, he also loves to play in the sand so his shoes & clothes are covered in it. He also leaves a trail of crumbs and sticky finger prints all over the house.
Sophie came in after being out in the rain. She was covered in mud and was soaking wet. She strolled all through the house and left a mess everywhere.
Cleaning out the shed was probably the biggest mess we had this summer so far!!
