I’ve always thought of mustard as a bit of a magical ingredient.
Just a small amount turns an ordinary food into something extra special, whether I’m adding classic Heinz Yellow Mustard to a hot dog or putting a half-teaspoon of mustard powder into my egg salad sandwich filling.
But my favourite variety of mustard, both as a cooking ingredient and a condiment, is Dijon mustard.
And new Heinz Dijon Mustard delivers delicious Dijon flavour in a convenient squeeze bottle that’s perfect for summer cooking.
Since our newest addition, Baby Cormac, joined the family five days ago, I don’t have the time or the energy to cook up anything too elaborate at the moment.
But the great thing about Heinz Dijon Mustard is that it adds gourmet flavour to food without a lot of work! And my simple Maple Mustard Salmon recipe is the perfect example of that.
The glaze for this Maple Mustard Salmon can easily be made in larger or smaller quantities as desired depending on the amount of salmon needed.
Just stick to the ratio of one part mustard to two parts maple syrup and mix well. And for an extra special flavour, try grilling the salmon on a cedar plank!
Served with a fresh garden salad and a tropical mango dressing, this light and flavorful meal is perfect for a hot summer’s day!
Looking for other great barbecue recipes? These decadent Dr. Pepper Ribs are sure to be a family favourite!
The rich, spicy flavour of this creamy mustard makes it a perfect choice for everything from sauces to salad dressings, and I can’t wait to experiment with it even more in some of my other favourite recipes.
Give it a try in a simple glaze like this one or on your favourite sandwich or burger and see what you think!

Hi Kristy! Thanks for the feedback! The ad network I work with recently changed the layout and frequency of its ads, so I’ll be keeping an eye on it over the next few days and seeing if I need to make adjustments. I appreciate you letting me know your thoughts!
