12 Strategic Financial Management Tips for Women

August 8, 2019 by Kathryn 8 Comments

It should come as no surprise to anyone that managing personal finances can be stressful. Often, it seems like no matter how hard we try to save money and make smart money management decisions, we can never seem to get ahead.

Indeed, most adults worry about money on a regular basis – as much as an hour a day on average. It’s the source of much friction and argument in relationships, as well as a leading source of stress in general.

A 2018 study found that 44% of Canadians believe their financial situation has a negative impact on their mental health. Perhaps more startling, 30% reported financial stress to be a greater worry in their lives than even overall health and well-being.

People also report missing out on events and experiences in an effort to save money, and suffering ill health effects from their stress and worry. Clearly, something needs to be done about this problem.

February 19, 2019 by Kathryn 4 Comments

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of the PC Insiders subscription service. All opinions are 100% mine.

After giving birth to Cormac, I was surprised by how long it took my body to recover. My energy level was very low and I couldn’t seem to get rid of that last ten pounds of baby weight.

I didn’t worry much about that sluggishness and extra weight for Cormac’s first year, especially since I was breastfeeding. But after this last Christmas, I decided it was time to jump in and get healthy again!
